In Mogliano Veneto on November 7 at “The Generative Machines” you can discover Wilson.ai, the virtual assistant for Machinery based on Generative AI. The full article on Innovation Post.

In the last year the interest related to the Generative AI phenomenon has been very high; since the launch of Chat-GPT, which took place in November 2022, the focus has quickly shifted from the consumer market to the business sector.

The transformative power of this technology is potentially immense and this is no exception for the manufacturing sector. There are many applications: generation of original content to support creative processes in marketing and communication, support to software engineers for code writing, support for customer interaction activities through more engaging and sophisticated chatbots.

Although the promises of using Generative AI are good, it is necessary to approach this technology in a thoughtful way, inserting it profitably and gradually into business processes.

Wilson.ai, the manufacturing assistant

It is in this context that 40Factory, scale-up tech operating in the industrial iot sector, presented to the Wilson.ai market in March 2023, a virtual assistant specifically designed for the sector of machine and plant manufacturers and more generally for the manufacturing sector.

“Knowing that this was an absolutely new and unexplored topic, we decided to develop the product together with its future users, creating the Wilson.ai Beta Program,” says Camillo Ghelfi, CEO and co-founder of 40Factory. “The initiative has attracted great interest, to date there are more than 20 participating companies that are helping to make Wilson.ai the virtual assistant dedicated to the machinery world. The product has grown very quickly and in the coming months we expect to launch the first official version”.

Some participating companies are: Bettinelli, Colosio, Iema, Futura Converting, Makro Labeling, GEA, MFL Group, IMG Machines, Macotec, Microtec, Panotec, OMET, Schnell, Wagner, WM Thermoforming.

Wilson.ai can be used as an intelligent assistant for customer support, internal design and R&D, or sales force. It is able to learn from all the knowledge sources present in the company and dialogue with users in a natural and engaging way, in various languages.

We calculated that, through the use of Generative AI, a plant manufacturer can automatically manage about 45% of service requests, reducing their evasion time from hours to minutes, enabling support staff to engage in higher value-added activities
