The company
Presezzi Extrusion is an Italian company specialized in the design and production of presses and systems for the extrusion of non-ferrous metals. Based in Vimercate and with a strong presence in the global market, it focuses on technological innovation and tailor-made solutions for its customers.
The challenge
Presezzi Extrusion had two main goals: a global control tower to monitor installed plants worldwide in real time and support service operations proactively. And a tool to be offered directly to end customers, allowing them to deeply understand their systems without dealing with complex analysis.
They had considered building a proprietary software in-house. But competing on development speed, scalability, and innovation capacity would have required resources and expertise that were difficult to sustain. From there came the decision to rely on 40Factory.
The solution
PEAK — Presezzi Extrusion Analytics Knowledge — is the IoT platform developed for the remote monitoring, management, and optimization of extrusion lines and foundry processes.
Real-time monitoring of machine status and alarms.
Production efficiency analysis and identification of inefficiency causes.

The evolution
With the Dashboard Builder, customers can independently create custom pages with charts and insights tailored to their specific needs.
A concrete example: Presezzi Extrusion built an energy dashboard to demonstrate real energy consumption to government authorities and access public funding.
The next step is EVA 01, Presezzi Extrusion’s first industrial AI agent.
It monitors process parameters, anticipates critical issues during billet heating, and suggests corrective actions on furnace settings. Preventing scrap and ensuring consistent final product quality.
