Founded in 1963, OMET is a global leader in printing and converting machinery for the labeling, flexible packaging, and tissue industries. It offers flexographic, offset, digital, and hybrid solutions for processing paper, plastic film, aluminum, and textile materials.
The challenge
OMET wanted to bring its end customers into the Industry 4.0 era: providing real-time visibility into machine operations and production progress, while enabling the Customer Success team to intervene promptly before issues became machine downtime.
The solution
OMET developed SFERA, its Industrial IoT solution based on MAT, securely accessible by both end customers and internal teams. The name reflects foresight and knowledge of the future, inspired by Galileo Galilei and OMET’s 60+ years of innovation culture.
